Jefferson County, Oregon
Haystack Reservoir Campground — a quiet stretch of Pacific Northwest shoreline where your tent or RV becomes the backdrop for something simpler.
About the Reservoir
Nestled along the quiet shores of Haystack Reservoir in Jefferson County, our campground is the kind of place where the morning starts with mist rising off the water and the evening ends with a sky full of stars you can actually see.
We're not a theme park. We're a working reservoir surrounded by sagebrush, ponderosa pines, and the kind of silence that lets you hear yourself think. Whether you're passing through on a road trip or coming back to somewhere that feels like home, there's a spot here for you.
Campsites & Lodging
From primitive tent sites to full-hookup RV pads, every site is positioned to give you that moment when you step outside and the reservoir is right there.
Level, shaded spots among the pines — just pitch your tent and watch the sun dip below the reservoir. Fire ring and picnic table included.
Pull-in sites with electrical hookups, gravel pads, and room to spread out. Your rig gets the same reservoir view as everyone else.
Our most sought-after spots — right on the water's edge. Wake up to the sound of gentle waves and coffee in hand, with nowhere to be for days.

Guest Stories
"We've been coming to Haystack for three years now. There's nowhere else in the area that feels this quiet and this well-kept at the same time. The lakeside sites are worth every penny."
"Stopped here on a road trip through central Oregon. The staff was friendly, the site was clean, and falling asleep to the sound of the reservoir was something I didn't know I needed."
"Brought the family for a weekend. The kids loved fishing off the dock, we hiked the trails, and we just… slowed down. That's the whole point, and this place gets it right."
